Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration Live Updates: ‘Ram aa gye hai’ says PM Modi in historic ceremony, breaks 11-day fast

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at Ram Janmabhoomi Temple for the pran pratishtha ceremony.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has decided not to attend the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. Instead, he attended a local event at a park in Lucknow. He said, “Those who believe in the ideology of ‘Maryada Purushottam Ram’ are his biggest devotees.” (ANI)

The sculptor of the Ram Lalla idol, Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, arrived in Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony.

He said, “I feel I am the luckiest person on the earth now. The blessing of my ancestors, family members and Lord Ram Lalla has always been with me. Sometimes I feel like I am in a dream world.”

JD(S) chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda arrived in Ayodhya to attend the Ram temple’s grand opening. Deve Gowda said, “The event that is going to take place in Ayodhya today is a historic one… I must also express my sincere thanks to the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

On being asked about the INDIA bloc leaders who have decided not to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, he said, “The stand they have taken, I don’t think it is going to be a proper decision.”

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to attend the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony on Monday. PM Modi has also reached Ayodhya.

Bollywood celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, have arrived in Ayodhya for the pran pratishtha ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Ayodhya ahead of the Pran Pratistha ceremony at the Ram Temple today. He is set to arrive at the venue shortly.

Former Prime Minister and JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda arrived at the Ram Temple to attend the Pran Pratishtha rituals. He said that the event in Ayodhya today is a historic one and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also said that the decision by INDIA bloc leaders against participating in the ceremony was improper. “The stand they have taken, I don’t think it is going to be a proper decision,” he told ANI.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has arrived at the Ram Temple site to attend the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

The pran pratishtha ceremony will begin at 12:20 pm and will conclude by 1 pm. The auspicious ‘abhijt muhurta’ of the pran pratishtha ceremony will last just 84 seconds.

Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal reached Ayodhya to take part in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on Sunday. While talking to the media, Nehwal said, “I think this is a big day for all of us. I am fortunate to have received the opportunity to be here today. We will have the darshan of Lord Ram here. So, we are waiting for that moment…I can’t express my joy in words.”

On pran pratishtha ceremony, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Today the day has come for which we were waiting for many years. Every Ram devotee was waiting for this day…”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted people as he reached Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

Pran Pratistha’s literal meaning is “the establishment of life force,” which imbues vitality into the idol of Ram Lalla, transforming it from a mere form into a deity capable of receiving prayers and bestowing blessings. It’s a sacred union of the divine and the material, bridging the gap between devotees and the object of their adoration.

During the aarti, Army helicopters will shower flowers on Ayodhya and 30 artists will play different Indian musical instruments at the temple premises at Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Pran Pratishtha day, according to Temple Authorities, ANI reported.

Furthermore, all the guests will be given bells which they will be ringing during the aarti.

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher arrived in Ayodhya today for the Ram Temple consecration ceremony and said, “Today, I am representing lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus who had to leave their homes…Today Lord Ram is returning to his home and I hope we will also return soon. Today is Diwali and this is not just a religious festival, this is much more.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will preside over the rituals of Ram Lalla’s ‘pran pratishtha’, is scheduled to participate in the ceremony from 12.05 pm to 12.55 pm before addressing a gathering at a separate public function between 1 pm and 2 pm in Ayodhya.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya at 10.45 am and reach the Ram Temple at 10.55 am. Modi’s visit is scheduled to end with a darshan at Kuber Tila around 2 pm.

The guest list for the historic ceremony is a convergence of political, religious, and cultural luminaries. Prominent among the attendees is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be inaugurating the ‘pran prathistha’ (consecration) ceremony.

Not only seers and priests but celebrities, sportspersons, industrialists, former and current administrative officers and journalists, who were posted in Ayodhya region around 1992, army officers to Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardees among others, have also been invited to the grand ceremony that will take place in the temple town of Ayodhya. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday extended heartfelt wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he leads, after 11-day rigorous ‘anushthan’, the sacred rituals in the presence of other yajmans, saints and seers guiding the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

“Congratulations on this epochal day of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in the historical city of Ayodhya, the Ram Janmbhoomi,” Dhankhar stated.

Replying to a letter by President Droupadi Murmu to him ahead of the pran pratishtha ceremony, PM Modi said that the historic moment of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya will enrich the Indian heritage and take the country’s development journey to new heights.

Ahead of the consecration ceremony, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das said, “Everything is happening very well. What Ram Bhakts wanted, is getting fulfilled today. As soon as Ram Lalla is seated, all difficulties will end.”

The Ram Janmabhoomi Sthapna Samiti in Trinidad and Tobago, in association with Overseas Friends of Ram Mandir and the Indian diaspora, carried out celebrations ahead of the Pran Prathishtha in Ayodhya.

Ahead of the consecration ceremony, a ‘Shobha yatra’ was taken out in Amritsar, Punjab.
