Naidu’s coalition, comprising the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Janasena, surged back into power, securing a commanding 164 out of 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

The TDP MLAs that are scheduled to take oaths today alongside Chandrababu Naidu, are namely, Payyavula Kesav, Kollu Ravindra, Nara Lokesh, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Nimmala Ramanaidu, NMD Farooq, Ponguru Narayana, Anagani Satya Prasad, Vangalapudi Anita, Kolusu Parthasaradhi, Gottipati Ravi, Kola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, Gummadi Sandhyarani, S Savitha, Vasamsetty Subhash, BC Janardhan Reddy, Kondapalli Srinivas, TG Bharath, and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy.
According to the list released by the TDP, the Cabinet will consist of 21 MLAs from the TDP, three from the Janasena Party, and one from the BJP.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has left from Mumbai to attend Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony as Andhra Pradesh CM.

TDP sources have said that invitations were sent to farmers who gave land for the Amaravati capital project and to some people who were reportedly mistreated during the previous YSR Congress regime.
N Chandrababu Naidu assumed the role of chief minister of the then-undivided Andhra Pradesh for the first time in 1995, serving two consecutive terms. In 2014, he became the inaugural chief minister of Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation and held the position until 2019. Now after securing a resounding victory in the 2024 elections, Naidu is set to embark on his fourth term as chief minister. The NDA in Andhra Pradesh, comprising the TDP, BJP, and Janasena, secured a commanding majority in the Assembly with 164 seats. Simultaneously, in the Lok Sabha polls, the alliance secured 21 out of the 25 parliamentary constituencies in the state.
As per the NDA sources quoted by PTI, Pawan Kalyan has been offered the Deputy chief minister’s post. Janasena is being offered three cabinet berths and the BJP one.
Pawan Kalyan’s JSP secured victory in both Lok Sabha seats it contested. The JSP emerged as the second-largest party in the Assembly elections, clinching victories in all 21 contested seats, knocking the incumbent YSRCP to third place. The JSP campaigned as part of a coalition with the TDP and BJP. Kalyan’s influence was discernible on two fronts during the elections. Firstly, he played a pivotal role in uniting voters from the Kapu community, to which he belongs. Secondly, he attracted a significant number of young voters to his campaign rallies and likely to the polling booths as well.
Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, while assessing the preparations for the ceremony, mentioned that the Prime Minister is scheduled to depart from Delhi for Gannavaram Airport at 8:20 am and is expected to arrive by 10:40 am on Wednesday. As per the tentative itinerary, Prasad stated that Modi is anticipated to reach the venue by 10:55 am to participate in the swearing-in ceremony, scheduled from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Subsequently, the Prime Minister is projected to return to the airport at 12:40 pm and depart for Bhubaneswar at 12:45 pm.
Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, veteran actor Rajinikanth has arrived in Vijayawada to attend the oath-taking event of Andhra Pradesh CM-designate N Chandrababu Naidu. Media captured Rajinikanth accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth.
The list of ministers in Naidu’s cabinet includes Konidela Pawan Kalyan, Kinjarapu Achchennaidu, Kollu Ravindra, Nadendla Manohar, and P. Narayana among others.

Naidu’s TDP, in coalition with JSP and the BJP, had contested the state elections as part of the NDA. The alliance secured a massive victory, winning 164 out of the 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Of these, the TDP claimed 135 seats, with the JSP and BJP securing 21 and 8 seats, respectively. Just before assuming office as CM, Naidu also confirmed that the new government would designate Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Preparations are in full swing at the Kesarapalli IT Park for the swearing-in ceremony of TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM-designate N Chandrababu Naidu.
Expected attendees include PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda, alongside other prominent leaders, who will take part in the oath-taking ceremony.
BJP MLAs are expected to clinch at least one or possibly two seats in the cabinet. Potential candidates under consideration for these positions include Vishnu Kumar Raju, Sujana Chowdary, and Satya Kumar. The Andhra Pradesh cabinet, which has a maximum capacity of 26 positions, inclusive of the chief minister, is designed to represent the state’s 175-member assembly.
The decision to shift the swearing-in ceremony location to near the Kesarapalli IT Park at Gannavaram in Krishna district, seems to be purely logistical. With the anticipation of several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the event, the IT Park emerges as a suitable choice. Situated near the Vijayawada International Airport (within 1.5 kilometers) and just under 20 kilometers from Vijayawada city, it offers convenient accessibility. The chosen ground within the IT Park has a seating capacity of around 50,000 individuals, spanning approximately 18-20 acres of land.
Naidu on Tuesday announced that Amaravati will be the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He said that his “aim to develop the entire state, not just a few places.” Naidu’s remark could be interpreted as a response to his political opponent, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had proposed developing Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital. By affirming Amaravati as the capital, Naidu may have aimed to reinforce the significance of the existing infrastructure and investments in Amaravati, while also challenging Reddy’s vision for decentralizing development across multiple cities.
The TDP leader is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at 11:27 am today. Expressing gratitude for the support, Naidu announced his oath-taking ceremony at the NDA Legislative Party meeting in Vijayawada on Tuesday. He extended his appreciation to all for their cooperation and informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several other Union Ministers such as Jagat Prakash Nadda and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, are anticipated to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra CM. Also expected to join the ceremony are Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan, and the party’s senior figure N Manohar. Reports suggest that Kalyan has been extended the offer to serve as the Deputy Chief Minister, according to sources from the NDA as quoted by PTI.
