Lauding actor Amitabh Bachchan, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the legendary actor deserves Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan is not enough.
“Amitabh Bachchan is a legend in his lifetime. Padma Vibhushan is not enough. Somebody of his stature deserves a Bharat Ratna,” Banerjee said.
Indian cinema’s two greatest actors – Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan – were selected yesterday for the Padma Vibhushan, while directors Jahnu Barua and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and lyricist Prasoon Joshi are among others who will get Padma awards.
