Delhi Principal Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin refused to comment on the appointment row where she was caught between the power struggle between Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal accused Gamlin of favouring power companies.

“I would not like to comment on that. The regular Chief Secretary has come back. It was just an interregnum arrangement,” Gamlin told the media persons here.

Kejriwal had said that Gamlin was appointed the Chief Secretary of Delhi despite objections raised by his government.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government had earlier accused the Lieutenant Governor of acting in an unconstitutional manner by issuing instructions directly to the Secretary (Services) to give the additional charge of Chief Secretary of Delhi to senior bureaucrat Gamlin. (ANI)
