Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday in a firm affirmation of BJP’s victory in Purvanchal said there is a BJP storm going on in the entire eastern Uttar Pradesh. He said,”Purvanchal UP mein BJP ki hawa nahi, aandhi chal rahi hai.” He also claimed that BJP will form a majority government in Uttar Pradesh and said that now even the political experts believes that BJP is going to form the government in the state with full majority. “Ab toh rajnetik visheshagya bhi maante hain ki UP mein BJP ki purn bahumat ki sarkaar banne ja rahi hai,” he said.

Rajnath Singh earlier too showed confidence of winning and said that BJP is the only party uniformly in the contest in every assembly segment in the state, where it faces the SP-Congress alliance in some places and Bahujan Samaj Party in others. Singh, while claiming the government’s demonetisation drive has been universally welcomed, said no election can be a referendum on a single issue.
