Leh

Known as the mecca of adventure enthusiasts, Leh is located in the eastern part of Jammu and Kashmir, on the crossroads of the historic ‘Silk Route’. This destination has numerous trekking trails, valleys, and picturesque lakes- hence also known as a backpacker’s haven. Some of the must visit monasteries are Shey, Hemis, Alchi, Thikse and Lamayuru. One of the major attractions is the Leh Palace which was built by the kings of Ladakh in 1553 and was once the world’s highest building.
