Known as Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon, Chilika Lake is nestled in the heart of coastal Odisha. Inhabited by fishermen families, some of the prominent islands like Nalabana, Kalijal, Somolo, Honeymoon, Break-fast, Birds and Rajahansa are popular destinations for daily boat trips. Among the major attractions are the Irrawady dolphins which are often spotted off Satpada Island . Satpada, bounded by lagoons on three sides, offers an excellent view and attracts visitors to its 30 km stretch of sand bar.
