IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited and its Private InvIT witnessed another fresh start on a positive in the third quarter of FY 24. As per the company, both entities witnessed 30 percent growth in toll collection last month Year-on-Year basis.

Aggregate toll collection

It may be noted that the aggregate toll collection is Rs 4,477 crore for October 2023, as compared to Rs 3,451 crore for the same month last year. Speaking about the same, Amitabh Murarka, Deputy CEO of the Company said, “Pleased to see the continuation of momentum built in first two-quarters of FY24, also getting continued in the first month of third quarter. Considering the next two months of Q3 are too filled in with festivals and vacations as well, we expect the momentum to continue for the quarter with good traffic growth across all projects; thus, resulting in a growing toll collection.”

“We also expect start of tolling on the Samakhiyali Santalpur BOT project in Gujarat soon, which would further facilitate better toll revenue,” he added further.

Importantly, while IRB MP Expressway Pvt Limited earned Rs1,409.02 crore in October 2023 from Mumbai Pune Expressway & Old Mumbai Pune Highway NH4, the company earned Rs 1,154.97 crore, in the same period last year. Similarly, IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway Private Limited received Rs 581.45 crore through Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway NE1 and Highway NH48 in October 2023, as against Rs 530 crore in October 2022.

Udaipur Tollway Limited, the company earned Rs 251.21 through Udaipur to Shamlaji NH48 as compared to Rs 204.66 crore during the same month of last year. Apart from these, IRB Hapur Moradabad Tollway Limited earned Rs 268.9 crore from(Hapur to Moradabad NH 9 project in October 2023, as against Rs 120.68 crore in October 2022.
