On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, Central Railway has announced that there will be no mega block on the Main and Harbour lines during daytime hours on Sunday, November 3, 2024. This decision aims to ensure smooth and uninterrupted travel for those celebrating this special day.

Festive Travel Convenience

Typically, mega blocks are scheduled on Sundays for essential maintenance work, affecting local train services across various routes. However, with the festive season in full swing, Central Railway has prioritized passenger convenience to allow seamless travel without the usual delays and disruptions.

According to the Central Railway announcement, services on both the Main line and Harbour line will operate as per the usual Sunday schedule, providing passengers with a stress-free travel experience. This initiative will allow commuters to avoid extended wait times and reach their destinations without inconvenience.

In a separate announcement, Several Western Railway trains will face delays, partial cancellations, or schedule adjustments in November due to construction activities. The installation of a Bow String Girder for a new Road Over Bridge will take place between Udvada–Vapi and Atul–Valsad stations on the Mumbai Central Division. This work will require blocks on both the UP and Down Main Combined Lines on specific dates, including November 7, 11, 15, 16, and 18.
