With Ganesh Utsav approaching, Maharashtra is set to celebrate with its renowned grandeur. To accommodate the surge in travel demand, the Central Railway has introduced special Ganpati trains. These trains aim to ease the booking process and ensure more passengers can secure confirmed tickets.
Starting August 7, reservations for these Ganpati special trains will be open. Central Railway has announced 222 special trains for the festival. Here are the details of the Ganpati special train services –
Mumbai-Ratnagiri Special Train
September 6, 7, 13, 14: LTT Mumbai-Ratnagiri Bi-weekly Special Train (8 services) – 01031 departs LTT Mumbai at 08:00 and arrives in Ratnagiri at 04:50 the next day.
September 7, 8, 14, 15: 01032 departs Ratnagiri at 08:40 and reaches LTT Mumbai at 17:15 the same day, stopping at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
Panvel-Ratnagiri Weekly Special Train
September 8, 15: 01443 departs Panvel at 04:40 and arrives in Ratnagiri at 11:50 the same day.
September 7, 14: 01444 departs Ratnagiri at 17:50 and reaches Panvel at 01:30 the next day, stopping at Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
Pune-Ratnagiri Weekly Special Train
September 7, 14: 01447 departs Pune at 00:25 and arrives in Ratnagiri at 11:50 the same day.
September 8, 15: 01448 departs Ratnagiri at 17:50 and reaches Pune at 17:00 the next day, stopping at Chinchwad, Talegaon, Lonavala, Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravalli Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
Panvel-Ratnagiri Special Train
September 11: 01441 departs Panvel at 16:40 and reaches Ratnagiri at 11:50 the same day.
September 10: 01442 departs Ratnagiri at 17:50 and arrives in Panvel at 13:30 the next day, stopping at Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravalli Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
Pune-Ratnagiri Weekly Special Train
September 10: 01445 departs Pune at 00:25 and arrives in Ratnagiri at 11:50 the same day.
September 11: 01446 departs Ratnagiri at 17:50 and reaches Pune at 05:00 the next day, stopping at Chinchwad, Talegaon, Lonavala, Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravalli Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
Reservations for all Ganpati special trains began today – August 7 at computerised reservation centers and on the website www.irctc.co.in, with special charges applicable. For details on more trains, rail passengers can visit the Indian Railways website.
