Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the magnificent YashoBhoomi Convention Centre on September 17. This state-of-the-art facility is the jewel of the first phase of the India International Convention and Expo Centre in Dwarka, Delhi. YashoBhoomi follows in the footsteps of the renowned Bharat Mandapam, which hosted global leaders during the recent G20 Summit. Situated within the Pragati Maidan complex in New Delhi, Bharat Mandapam was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on July 26 and subsequently handed over to the Ministry of External Affairs for the summit. Connectivity to Delhi Airport Metro Express line
PM Modi will also be inaugurating a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25, which will provide seamless connectivity between YashoBhoomi and the Delhi Airport Metro Express line.
One of the world’s largest MICE facilities
Spanning an impressive 73,000 square meters, the YashoBhoomi Convention Centre proudly houses one of the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities. It also boasts the country’s largest LED media facade. It offers one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, making it an ideal venue for exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events.
YashoBhoomi: Key Features
With a total capacity to accommodate 11,000 delegates, YashoBhoomi includes 15 convention rooms, including the main auditorium, the grand ballroom, and 13 meeting rooms.
The main auditorium, serving as the plenary hall, features an innovative automated seating system. With a seating capacity of 6,000 people, it can be configured as flat-floor seating or an auditorium-style tiered arrangement. Wooden floors and acoustic wall panels enhance the world-class experience.
The grand ballroom can host around 2,000 guests and includes a unique petal ceiling and an extended open area that accommodates up to 500 people.
Unique Grand Foyer Space
The grand foyer, connected to the exhibition halls, showcases a distinctive copper ceiling that filters light through various skylights. It will house essential support areas such as media rooms, VVIP lounges, cloak facilities, visitor information centers, ticketing, and more.
A blend of Culture and Sustainability
The Convention Center incorporates elements inspired by Indian culture, featuring Terazzo floors and brass inlay patterns resembling ‘rangolis’. It also sets an example for sustainability in infrastructure with a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system, 100% wastewater reuse, rainwater harvesting, and rooftop solar panels.
Green Certification
The campus has achieved Green Cities Platinum certification from CII’s Indian Green Building Council.
