Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on Thursday said chief digital officer Arun Neelakantan will be appointed executive director, customer development, effective July 1. He will replace Kedar Lele, who will be pursuing an external opportunity.
Neelakantan started his career with HUL as key account manager in modern trade in 2006 after completing his bachelor’s degree from IIT-Madras, master’s from Penn State University, followed by an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB).
HUL CEO and MD Rohit Jawa said Neelakantan had a proven track record of performance at HUL.
“With his deep understanding of the consumer landscape in the country, coupled with his knowledge of channels of the future and expertise in data and technology, he will help take customer development to greater heights,” Jawa said.
