IT bellwether Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has asked employees working on some projects to report to office five days a week, starting October.

Sources said that while the company hasn’t asked all employees to come to office every day, employees working on critical projects have been asked to comply with the new mandate. They said the employees believe the company will gradually start asking everyone to work from office for the full week.

In September 2022, TCS asked employees to be in office three days a week. It recently warned employees of consequences if they did not adhere to this.
