Tata Motors that announced to rename its upcoming hatchback ‘Zica’ due to its resemblance with the ‘Zika’ virus, started off a one-of-its-kind name hunt that invited people to suggest a new name for the vehicle. The car’s name acronym was “Zica”, derived from “Zippy Car”.

The Fantastico name hunt contest, that ran for three days on its social media channels, saw engagement from a massive 48 million people and over 37,000 names were suggested. The three names that the company shortlisted for the Zica are – Adore (Uh-dohr), Civet (Siv -it) and Tiago (T ee – ah – g oh).

Now the company needs the help of its fans once again in finalising one name out of these three. The interested people can vote for their favourite name through this url – http://madeofgreat.tatamotors.com/zica/fantastico-name-hunt

Based on the company’s new design language – IMPACT, the Tata Zica looks quite sporty with prominent character lines on sides, a new radiator grille with the ‘Humanity Line’, wrap-around headlamps, rear spoiler, multi-spoke 14-inch alloy wheels and several other interesting styling elements.

The upcoming hatchback from Tata Motors will be made available in two all-new engine options – a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and a 1.05-litre Revotorq – both mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
