Reliance Infrastructure posted a flat year-on-year consolidated net profit of Rs 431 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014, primarily because of a reduction in power revenues, fall in revenues from the EPC segment and a loss of Rs 57 crore incurred on the Mumbai Metro during the quarter.
Revenue from the company’s electricity distribution business, which constitutes nearly 80% of the company’s total revenue, continued to bear the brunt of RInfra’s divestment of its Delhi distribution business. Net sales in power business fell 7% year-on-year.
