RailTel Corporation of India has secured multiple contracts worth a total of Rs 6,597.56 crore from the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC). The company disclosed the details of five projects in a regulatory filing.

Rs 2,575 crore smart classroom project in senior schools

RailTel has received one of its biggest education infrastructure orders worth Rs2,575.01 crore for setting up smart classrooms in government secondary and senior secondary schools across Bihar. The project involves procurement, supply, and installation of smart classrooms and will be completed by March 31, 2026.

Rs 2,621 crore smart classroom project in middle schools

The company has also bagged a Rs 2,621.43 crore order for installing smart classrooms in government middle schools. RailTel will undertake procurement, supply, and installation under this project, which is also expected to be completed by March 31, 2026.

Rs 899 crore teaching material supply

RailTel has secured another order worth Rs 899.19 crore from BEPC for the supply of teaching and learning material for Classes I to V across government schools in Bihar. The project has a completion deadline of March 31, 2026.

Rs 442 crore ICT labs project

The company has also won a Rs 442.17 crore order for setting up ICT labs across Bihar. The project, which involves supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2026.

Rs 59.7 crore ISM labs order

In addition, RailTel has bagged a Rs 59.76 crore contract for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of ISM Labs. The project will be executed by December 31, 2025.

Domestic contracts with no promoter interest

RailTel clarified that all the contracts have been awarded by BEPC, a domestic entity, and none of them fall under related-party transactions. The company further confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the awarding body.

The shares of RailTel Corporation of India opened 4.8 per cent higher than the previous close in today’s session, a day after announcing all its order wins. The stock has gained 22.97 per cent over the past six months.
