Venkata Narayana K, chief executive at Prestige Estates Projects has quit after serving as the CEO for over six and half years. The company said he has quit to pursue personal interests.

Narayana assumed the role of CEO of Prestige Estates in August 2017. Prior to this, he served as chief financial officer and company secretary of the firm as well.

According to sources, he would float a fund to buy land parcels for real estate projects. Narayana could not be contacted for comments.

Prestige recently tied up with Mariott International for six hotels and is looking to list the hospitality arm.

Irfan Razack, chairman and managing director of Prestige Estates, said, “Venkat throughout his tenure of over 20 years with the company played a crucial role in shaping the growth of the company and was an able foil to the management’s quest for steering the company to greater heights.”

Razack said that the company had outlined its roadmap by appointing various business heads for each vertical and geography.

The next generation of the promoter’s family is actively engaged in the business and will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s future, the firm said

M Faiz Rezwan, executive director is responsible for overseeing the overall construction and execution of projects, including key aspects such as procurements, contracting, and value engineering.

Zayd Noaman, executive director is tasked with business development and will also oversee corporate finance and strategic investments. Zaid Sadiq, executive director and Omer Bin Jung, executive director will oversee and mentor the hospitality team.

Uzma Irfan, director of the company, is responsible for corporate communications, marketing, and branding strategies.

Sana Rezwan, executive director will focus on charting the growth trajectory for North India, particularly the NCR region.
