Flipkart-owned fashion e-commerce platform Myntra has posted a nearly 18x jump in its net profit to Rs 548.3 crore in FY25 from Rs 31 crore in the previous year, according to a report by Entrackr, which quoted filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

Revenue from operations also rose 18% year-on-year to Rs 6,042.7 crore during the fiscal.

The surge in its net profit is largely because revenue growth was higher than the rise in expenses, which grew 11.7% y-o-y to Rs 5,723.7 crore. Its largest cost-head, advertising and promotional expenses, jumped 37% to Rs 2,105.3 crore in FY25, while logistics costs rose 6.5% to Rs 1,999 crore.

Myntra has three sources of revenue

Employee benefit expenses fell 6.5% to Rs 748.8 crore in FY25 from Rs 800. Myntra earns its revenue from three main streams – logistics, marketplace services, and advertising. In FY25, logistics remained the largest contributor, making up nearly half of the revenue at Rs 2,918.9 crore, a rise of nearly 20% from the previous year. Revenue from marketplace services rose 15.6% to Rs 2,051.8 crore, while advertising revenue was up 28% y-o-y to Rs 914.5 crore.

Myntra’s profit boost backed by parent funding

Myntra’s profit boost follows an investment of $125 million from its Singapore-based parent company FK Myntra Holdings, back in May. Before that, Flipkart had put in $81 million in Myntra’s holding entity in Singapore in 2024.

Flipkart had acquired Myntra for $240 million back in 2014.

Not just Myntra, Flipkart has also recently raised internal funding. Flipkart Internet, the marketplace arm of Walmart-owned Flipkart, secured a capital infusion of Rs 2,225 crore from its Singapore-based parent entity. The funding came just two months after a previous infusion of Rs 3,200 crore, signalling continued confidence in Flipkart’s growth prospects ahead of a planned public listing.

Earlier this year, Myntra announced its international expansion with the launch of Myntra Global in Singapore, targeting nearly 650,000 Indians in the country. The expansion focuses primarily on Indian fashion, ethnic wear, and home decor, with products being shipped directly from India with delivery timelines of 4-7 days.
