Bajaj Consumer Care on Thursday recorded Q2 profit for the financial year 2023-24 at Rs 37.28 crore, up 17.8 per cent in comparison to Rs 31.66 crore during the same quarter last year. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 234.85 crore, up 1 per cent as against Rs 232.45 crore during the second quarter of FY23. The company EBITDA was at Rs 37 crore, up 22 per cent on-year. 

While the total income recorded by Bajaj Consumer Care was at Rs 246.25 crore, the company incurred total expenditure of Rs 200.86 crore during the quarter ended September 2023.

Bajaj Almonds Drops Hair Oil range recorded value growth of ~2 per cent in H1FY24 with 4 per cent volume growth and the company said that the large packs performed better than sachet and mid packets. And the NPD range posted topline growth of 37 per cent in Q2FY24 and 19 per cent in H1FY24. Bajaj 100% Pure Coconut Oil scaled up well with consistent repeat offtakes across all channels. 

Bajaj Consumer Care Q2 performance across retail segments

The company’s general trade topline declined by low single digit in Q2FY24 wherein urban continued to do well and registered a mid-single digit growth in H1FY24. Rural demand remained subdued due to inflation and below average rainfall in certain regions.

Organised trade registered growth of 27 per cent in H1FY24. Modern Trade, meanwhile, grew by 27 per cent in H1 and e-commerce registered a growth of 28 per cent in H1 with B2C growing at 55 per cent. Canteen business grew by 26 per cent in H1.

Further, international business recorded a growth of 21 per cent YoY in H1. Middle East and Africa grew by double digit on-year while Bangladesh continued scaling up with healthy topline growth. RoW registered 14 per cent growth YoY in H1.
