At present, new export samples of Russian corrected air bombs (KAB) of 500 and 1500 kg caliber with an increased range are being actively promoted on the market of guided aircraft weapons.

Their distinctive feature is the possibility of high-precision destruction of ground and surface small-sized strong and especially strong enemy targets from ranges that ensure their use without carrier aircraft entering the detection zones of air defense systems covering such strike targets.

According to Western media, analogues of export samples of new corrected aerial bombs of 500 and 1500 kg caliber are successfully used by the Russian aerospace forces (VKS) during a special military operation (SVO).

KAB with an inertial satellite guidance system and a high-explosive warhead (index K08BE) is designed to destroy weapons and military equipment, military and civilian infrastructure.

The aerodynamic design of the K08BE bomb, thanks to the streamlined shape of its body and the mid-positioned cruciform wing with trapezoidal consoles, as well as the cruciform stabilizer with rudders, provides an increased range of the KAB after being dropped from a carrier aircraft up to 40 km.

High accuracy in hitting ground and surface targets with known coordinates, including stationary small-sized, high-probability-of-intercept targets or hard-to-kill targets, is achieved by equipping the KAB with a modern inertial satellite guidance system. The accuracy of pointing the KAB to a given target is up to 10 m.

The total weight of the KAB K08BE is 505 kg, while the high-explosive warhead weighing 390 kg ensures guaranteed destruction of the intended targets. K08BE can be used from carrier aircraft around the clock and all weather, the maximum altitude of use is up to 14 km.

The UPAB-1500B-E guided glide bomb (index K029BE) is designed to destroy weapons and military equipment, military and civilian infrastructure facilities.

The aerodynamic configuration of the K029BE air bomb has a streamlined body shape, in the middle part of which there is a folding cruciform wing with triangular consoles. There are four stabilizers in the tail section of the hull. Such a design decision when creating an aerial bomb increased its flight range after being dropped from a carrier aircraft to 40 km.

UPAB-1500B-E has a length of 5.05 m, a diameter of 0.4 m. The mass of the bomb is 1525 kg, the mass of the high-explosive concrete-piercing warhead is 1010 kg, and the drop height is up to 15 km. The bomb is equipped with an inertial satellite guidance system that provides an accuracy of hitting the target up to 10 m.

In terms of combat power, the UPAB-1500B-E has no equal among foreign analogues of the 1500 kg caliber.
