Reddit has rolled out two new artificial intelligence-powered advertising features designed to help brands better engage with its massive user base by leveraging conversations happening across the platform.
Announced on Monday, the first tool, “Reddit Insights powered by Community Intelligence”, offers marketers real-time access to emerging trends and community sentiment. The tool aims to support campaign planning by helping brands identify what users are talking about, spot early cultural signals, and even test messaging ideas before launching.
The second feature, “Conversation Summary Add-ons,” allows advertisers to showcase curated, positively framed user comments directly beneath their ads. This addition is designed to reinforce ad messaging by highlighting favourable community feedback related to the brand or campaign.
The launch is part of Reddit’s broader strategy to remain competitive in a digital advertising market increasingly driven by AI and real-time analytics. Platforms such as Snapchat and Pinterest are also leaning on similar AI-driven tools to appeal to advertisers amid economic headwinds and tighter marketing budgets.
France-based holding company Publicis Groupe is already using Reddit Insights, with the platform planning a wider rollout to other agencies starting in July, according to Reddit COO Jen Wong. The announcement follows a recent ad market adjustment by WPP Media, which lowered its global ad revenue growth forecast from 7.7% to 6% for 2025, citing economic uncertainty and shifting U.S. trade policies. WPP also noted that brands are expected to increase their reliance on AI tools to boost production efficiency and precision in targeting.
Reddit, which introduced new analytics and content moderation features in March, said in May that it expects second-quarter revenue to exceed Wall Street projections. However, CEO Steve Huffman also warned that incoming changes to Google Search could temporarily affect site traffic.
