Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has partnered with health-tech startup GABIT in the company’s first advertising campaign for its flagship wearable, the GABIT Smart Ring. The campaign, which launched this week across digital platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and OTT networks, marks a rare brand endorsement by Kapoor, who is known for maintaining a low public profile.
The GABIT Smart Ring is a new entrant in the health wearable space, offering users a screen-free way to track sleep, physical activity, heart rate, recovery, and stress. The device forms part of a broader ecosystem that includes AI-driven coaching, personalised fitness and nutrition plans, and science-based skincare products.
Founded in 2024 by Gaurav Gupta and Arpana Shahi, GABIT is positioned as a longevity-focused platform with the stated aim of making health monitoring accessible and sustainable. The startup has raised $9.5 million in seed funding from Norwest Venture Partners, along with several high-profile angel investors, including Amit Agarwal (Amazon India), Deepinder Goyal (Zomato), and Kunal Shah (CRED).
Speaking about the collaboration, Kapoor said he had been using the Smart Ring for several months before agreeing to the partnership. The campaign attempts to depart from the clinical tone often associated with the health-tech category, opting instead for a relatable and lifestyle-oriented approach.
GABIT’s founders say they aim to shift health behaviour in India from reactive to preventive. The company offers a full-stack approach to wellness, integrating data from its wearable with AI-powered insights across four key areas: fitness, food, sleep, and stress.
