Mirai School of Technology launched recently with a focus on training students in artificial intelligence, aiming to address what it calls a growing talent gap in India’s tech workforce.
The company said it is partnering with AICTE- and UGC-approved colleges to offer B.Tech and BCA degree programs designed around AI tools, certifications and real-world applications. The programs are intended to help students build careers in areas such as generative AI, machine learning and automation.
“Mirai isn’t just a new institution—it’s a movement to bridge the gap between today’s education and tomorrow’s tech careers,” said Arpit Sarda, founder of Mirai School of Technology.
Sarda, an alumnus of BITS Pilani and IIM Kozhikode, co-founded the venture alongside Varun Kohli and Kartik Mathur. Kohli and Mathur previously co-founded Coding Blocks, a training platform that has mentored more than 250,000 students, according to the company.
The company said its curriculum is structured around five core elements: hands-on AI integration from day one; use of development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT; instruction by tech practitioners; access to robotics and Apple labs; and a selective admissions process targeting the top 20 percent of applicants.
“What makes Mirai different isn’t just what we teach, but how we teach it,” Mathur said. “Our students don’t just learn about AI—they build with it using the same tools powering global innovations.”
Mirai added that students will receive personal MacBooks and access to paid AI platforms as part of their coursework. The company also said it plans to offer startup incubation opportunities, industry-linked projects, and global AI competition exposure through its programs.
India’s AI market is expected to reach $17 billion by 2027, according to industry estimates cited by the company. Mirai said it aims to prepare students for careers in sectors such as healthcare, finance and mobility.
“From global certifications to real-world projects, our goal is to deliver outcomes—not just degrees,” said Kohli.
