Marriott Hotels is set to open Dholera’s first 5-star luxury hotel in partnership with SmartHomes Infrastructure, marking a significant development in the city’s real estate and hospitality sector. The hotel will cater to corporate executives, investors, and high-net-worth travellers as Dholera emerges as a business and tourism hub. Part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is being developed as India’s largest planned smart city, with infrastructure projects including the upcoming Dholera International Airport, expressway connectivity, and large-scale green energy initiatives.
“Marriott International, renowned for its luxury hospitality, has chosen to collaborate with SmartHomes Infrastructure in a move that underscores its belief in Dholera’s promising future. This partnership reflects the growing recognition of Dholera as an emerging hub for business and tourism, as well as the trust placed in SmartHomes Infrastructure to deliver a high-caliber development,” Rupinder Singh Khurana, Founder, SmartHomes Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, said.
“By joining forces, both entities contribute to the vision of shaping Dholera into a world-class urban center, setting new benchmarks in luxury and infrastructure,” Khurana added.
Marriott’s expansion into Dholera reflects growing confidence in the region’s commercial viability, while SmartHomes Infrastructure will lead the project’s execution. Although details on the project’s scale and amenities remain undisclosed, the development is expected to feature luxury suites, business centres, fine-dining restaurants, and wellness facilities.
Industry experts suggest that the entry of a global hospitality brand could boost real estate values, attract commercial projects, and create local employment opportunities, further positioning Dholera as a key investment destination.
