Kouzina Food Tech has entered into a strategic agreement with Swiggy to exclusively operate and eventually assume full ownership of several of the latter’s in-house digital-first food brands. The portfolio includes The Bowl Company, Homely, Soul Rasa, and Istah. Under the terms of the agreement, Kouzina will oversee all aspects of brand operations, including growth, innovation, and day-to-day management. Full brand ownership is expected to be transferred to Kouzina upon the fulfilment of certain pre-defined conditions.

“This partnership strengthens our position as a leading food services platform in India. With our asset-light model, we aim to scale these brands rapidly across new geographies,” Gautam Balijepalli, co-founder and CEO,  Kouzina, said. He added that Homely has already gone live in select areas of Bengaluru, while The Bowl Company is slated to relaunch later this week, with further expansions in the pipeline.

The transaction reflects ongoing shifts in consumer behaviour, as India’s food delivery, cloud kitchen, and quick-service restaurant (QSR) segments experience rapid growth. Kouzina is leveraging this momentum to build a scalable and sustainable business, with plans to explore a public listing within the next five years.

Swiggy, which originally launched The Bowl Company in 2017, developed these brands to address unmet demand for diverse, quality food options in the delivery ecosystem. “These digital-first brands were created to fill key supply gaps and offer greater convenience to customers. With its operational expertise and scalable model, Kouzina is well-equipped to take them forward,” Arpit Mathur, Vice President, Swiggy, said.
