Indian rapper and music producer Badshah has announced the launch of his quick service restaurant (QSR) chain, Badboy Pizza, in partnership with Ghost Kitchens India. The venture marks the artist’s formal entry into the food and beverage sector, with ambitions to expand the brand nationally over the next three years.
The first Badboy Pizza outlet opened in Mumbai’s Andheri neighbourhood earlier this month. The company plans to roll out 50 outlets across major Indian cities and is targeting annual revenues of Rs 150 crore.
Ghost Kitchens India, a cloud kitchen operator that runs more than a dozen delivery-first brands, is supporting the operational side of the business.
The new brand is positioned as a “mass-premium” offering, aiming to appeal to younger urban consumers with a menu that blends international influences and regional Indian flavours. The 50-item menu includes pizzas such as Smoky BBQ, Korean Spice, Chimichurri-inspired “Messidona,” and an Aloo Dum variant, among others. Ingredients include Italian flour and fermented dough, according to the company.
In addition to pizza, the menu includes sides like garlic bread with butter chicken, loaded fries, spaghetti, and desserts such as paan-flavoured soft-serve and reinterpretations of classic Indian flavours.
Badshah, who is the face of the brand, called the launch a long-held personal ambition. “Badboy Pizza is an extension of my personality—rooted, bold and real. I’ve always dreamt of having my own pizza chain,” he said in a statement.
The announcement follows a marketing campaign that included a promotional video that gained traction on social media, helping build early visibility for the brand. The company has not disclosed specific locations for upcoming outlets but has confirmed that the focus will be on India’s top metros.
