The Job

As I embark on my 16th year here at Novo Nordisk Global Business Services, leading over 3,000 colleagues in India, my mission is to create an inclusive, thriving environment where everybody matters. Our century-long legacy is a testament to our honesty, ambition, accountability, innovation, and openness values. Ultimately, my greatest satisfaction is knowing that we enhance lives through ground-breaking science and innovation, nurturing a sustainable future for all.

The Weekdays

My weekdays kick off early, ensuring my kids are ready to catch the school bus at 6:30 am. I try to balance my mornings by working out at least thrice a week and focusing on planning for the day over a cup of coffee is essential. My schedule usually revolves around connecting with teams across the organisation, addressing issues, and collaborating with colleagues. 

Although we embrace a hybrid work setup at Novo Nordisk GBS, I find great value in visiting the office to connect with people.

The Weekend

Weekends are dedicated to quality family time, encompassing everyday activities like shopping, swimming, and shared meals. However, cycling serves as a vital recreational activity for me, providing both physical rejuvenation and mental reflection. Relying on my home bike trainer, I often cover distances ranging from 40-80 km over weekends. Balancing family bonding with personal passions is the perfect recipe for a fulfilling weekend.

The Toys

Fitness gadgets are indeed my small luxury. You’ll often spot me with the latest Garmin watch or cycle computer. I am always eager to enhance my workouts and keep track of my progress. Recently, I added a new heart rate monitor to my collection which also has real-time ECG monitoring.

On a separate note, music holds a special place in my daily routine. I’ve integrated a range of hi-fi music apps—Tidal, Qubuz, and Roon—into my home audio system.

The Logos

Sustainability is a cornerstone of our choices, both for my family and me. We lean towards brands with minimal packaging. Our groceries are market-bought, devoid of packaging. I’ve recently started sourcing my cycling gear from TIC-CC, a company committed to responsible manufacturing using recycled materials, resonating with Novo Nordisk’s Circular for Zero initiatives. Additionally, I favour clothing brands like Patagonia & Bam (bamboo-based clothing) that share our sustainability ethos. Our vacation choices are similarly guided by sustainability and wellness, often leading us to resorts like the Six Senses.
