The Job
As the CEO and co-founder, my role is to chart an ambitious path for Cashfree Payments and the merchants we serve. We’re a tech-first company, deeply attuned to the evolving needs of businesses across industries and growth stages. My role focuses on leading with a bold vision: expanding Cashfree’s reach, harnessing the power of AI, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital payments. It’s about anticipating market shifts, consumer behaviour evolution, driving innovation, and ensuring our products set new standards – not just for our merchants, but for the entire fintech ecosystem.
The Weekdays
My weekdays are all about driving Cashfree forward and breaking new ground, whether it’s launching new products, expanding into fresh markets, or refining how we serve our merchants. As an engineer at heart, problem-solving is second nature to me. So a big part of my day is about meeting teams to tackle complex challenges, both technical and strategic, and ensuring our teams are aligned and energised. It’s about setting the pace and leading Cashfree’s growth, in India and beyond, in a fast-evolving fintech landscape.
The Weekend
Weekends are all about family for me. Sugandha (my wife) and I love to travel, and we have a young daughter. Sharing the joy of exploring new places with her is something I’m deeply passionate about – it’s amazing to see the world through her eyes. I also enjoy long drives, so hitting the road on the weekends is my way of unwinding and recharging.
The Toys
I love collecting travel experiences. Exploring new places, discovering local cuisine, and understanding different cultures. I believe these experiences are about enriching my perspective and creating memories. I collect souvenirs from most of my trips to cherish the memories longer. I have been to most countries in Asia and Western Europe. Visiting African nations and Antarctica is on my bucket list next.

Cashfree’s logo features two upward arrows, reflecting our relentless focus on growth and speed. It’s a symbol of how we empower merchants to move fast in the digital landscape and how Cashfree itself is continuously evolving to lead in innovation and merchant partnership, taking India’s fintech story to the world.
