IndiGo is set to introduce business class seats on 12 domestic routes starting in mid-November. Bookings for these seats will open on Tuesday (August 6), as announced by the airline’s CEO, Pieter Elbers, at an event celebrating IndiGo’s 18 years of operation. 

Elbers noted that the business class will be available on both the busiest and business-focused routes, including select flights from the national capital.

IndiGo to launch ‘IndiGo BluChip’

Additionally, IndiGo will launch a new customer loyalty program called ‘IndiGo BluChip’. This announcement follows IndiGo’s earlier May 23 declaration of introducing business class on select routes this year. 

Currently, business class is offered by Tata Group-owned Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara.

IndiGo’s to add 7 new international destinations

IndiGo is set to expand its international network by adding seven new destinations within the current financial year, as announced by CEO Pieter Elbers on Monday. This move is part of the airline’s strategy to strengthen its global presence.

Currently, IndiGo operates over 2,000 flights daily to around 120 destinations, including 33 international cities. Earlier this month, the airline also revealed plans to begin flights to Jaffna.
