As the Maha Kumbh 2025 draws near, Prayagraj Airport is gearing up to accommodate a large influx of devotees heading to the Sangam city for the religious congregation, which is expected to last for the next month and a half.

After being granted the status to operate flights round-the-clock and in all weather conditions, the airport will see around two dozen flights scheduled to connect Prayagraj with major cities across India during the Kumbh Mela period. The flights are set to follow strategic routes, with layovers at other airports to ensure a smooth journey for passengers traveling to Prayagraj.

Booking Details and Flight Schedules Released

Aviation companies have begun releasing flight schedules for the event, with bookings already open for passengers. Although the precise days of operation are still being finalized by the airport authorities, flights will be available from 23 cities, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Raipur, Lucknow, Pune, Bhopal, Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jabalpur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bilaspur, Srinagar, Jammu, and Amritsar.

Some flights will operate daily, while others will run two to three times a week, according to an official statement. Key routes include flights between Nagpur and Prayagraj, Pune and Prayagraj, Chennai and Prayagraj, as well as Prayagraj and Jammu. Certain flights, like those between Prayagraj and Amritsar, will pass through Delhi.

Additional connecting flights will operate between Prayagraj and cities such as Kochi, Visakhapatnam, and Indore, with layovers in Mumbai, Raipur, Hyderabad, and Lucknow, respectively. Currently, direct flights from Prayagraj are available to cities like Delhi, Bilaspur, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad.
