An IndiGo flight operating between Goa and Mumbai received a bomb threat on Monday evening, triggering swift emergency measures. Flight 6E 5101 landed safely at Mumbai airport, where all passengers were safely disembarked.

After landing, the aircraft was immediately directed to an isolation bay to ensure maximum safety. “All standard operating procedures were followed,” an airline spokesperson stated on Tuesday. The statement further clarified that the aircraft was allowed to return to the terminal only after clearance from the relevant authorities.

According to an airport official, a note indicating the presence of a bomb onboard was discovered, prompting the emergency. A full emergency was declared at the Mumbai airport at approximately 10:30 PM. This state of heightened alert lasted an hour, being called off by 11:30 PM after security teams confirmed there was no threat.
