Airspace Closure for Indian Air Force Display

Passengers have been informed about airspace closure for an Air display by the Indian Air Force on November 17th and 19th, from 13:25 to 14:10 hours.

Dedicated General Aviation Terminal

SVPI Airport boasts a dedicated General Aviation terminal, designed to facilitate smoother and faster processing of domestic and international passengers traveling through non-scheduled aircraft.

Night Parking Facilities

The airport is equipped with 15 stands for night parking during the event, including six designated for business jet aircraft operations. Airlines have been urged to continue supporting timely slots and enhanced resources for an improved passenger experience.

In anticipation of high demand, SVPI Airport has developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for non-standard parking of aircraft in case the demand for night parking exceeds the availability of stands for standard parking.

Collaboration with Neighboring Airports

As a proactive measure, Ahmedabad Airport has collaborated with neighboring airports to accommodate visiting aircraft at adjoining airports for night parking if the demand surpasses available stands.

Additional Flights and Collaborations with Airlines

The airport has also accommodated requests from commercial airlines to operate additional flights to metro cities, aiming to serve the maximum number of passengers intending to travel during the ODI World Cup final match.

While team India secured their spot in the final with an all-round performance against New Zealand, remaining unbeaten in the tournament, Australia became the second finalist after defeating South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata by three wickets.
