Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), Tuesday introduced Post Graduate Programme in Banking & Financial Services (PGPBFS) in the institution. The new course was inaugurated by the Governor of Orissa, Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare.
“This Post Graduate Programme in Banking and Financial Services by XIMB is the first of its kind in Orissa and is aimed at building managers for the banking and financial services sector in India,” said XIMB director Fr PT Joseph.
The regional director of Reserve Bank of India, Bhubaneswar, BK Bhoi, and general manager of IDBI (Mumbai), PK Das, spoke on the occasion.
The programme co-ordinator, Asit Mohanty, said that this programme aims to provide the right blend of knowledge and skills in banking and other non-banking financial services such as insurance, mutual funds and so forth.
