UTV Television, known for creating landmark television shows, announced the launch of its new production venture – Maaylek, a family drama to be aired on ETV Marathi, the popular Marathi-language television channel. Starting 9th August, the serial will be aired every Monday to Saturday at 7 pm on the channel.
Maaylek follows an intricate relationship between a mother and daughter. Driven by the power of justice, Iravati, a criminal lawyer fights to get a capital punishment for a woman – Radha who has murdered her husband, completely unaware, that the woman she is fighting against is her own birth mother!
Written by renowned screenplay & dialogue writer – Abhay Paranjape, Maaylek is directed by Mandarr Devsthali. The cast comprises of veteran actors from the Marathi film industry who have been a part of both, well known movies and television shows ? Teja Devkar, Subodh Bhave, Prarthana Behere, Aastad Kale, Madhav Abhyankar, Jyoti Joshi, Sanjivani Jadhav, Uma Sirdeshmukh, Rajan Patil, Mitali Varadkar, Maithili Jawkar, Shalmali Tolye and Milind Gunaji.
