In a reshuffle of a number of senior management personnel at Tata Steel with effect from April 1, 2010, Jamshedpur Utilities & Services Company (Jusco) managing director Sanjiv Paul will be back with the steel major as the vice-president (corporate services).
Jusco, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Steel, is into power, water, municipal solid waste management and engineering & construction services and is currently involved in several water distribution projects in several cities in the country.
Partha Sengupta, the current vice-president (corporate services), has been appointed as vice-president (raw materials).
Similarly, Anand Sen, the current vice-president (TQM & flat products) has been appointed as vice-president (TQM & shared services) while AM Misra, who presently holds the office of vice-president (raw materials & CSI) has been appointed vice-president (CSI & industrial relations).
Likewise, Om Narayan, at present vice-president (shared services) has been given the portfolio of vice-president (special projects) while Hridayeshwar Jha , vice-president (safety & long products) is to be vice-president (Orissa Project).
Another senior Tata Steel official, TV Narendran, on his return from Nat Steel (Singapore) has been appointed as vice-president (safety & flat products), while Bimalendra Jha, principal executive officer to the managing director?s office has been appointed as vice-president (long products).
The company said here today that Arun Baijal, group director (global mineral resources) and B K Singh, vice-president (Orissa project) would be retiring from the 1st of April, 2010.
Baijal has played a pivotal role in ensuring raw material security for the steel major by creating and nurturing the ?global mineral resources? organization.
As group director (GMR), Baijal ensured a global footprint for Tata Steel through global acquisitions and joint ventures and the company now has interests in Africa, Middle East, Australia and Canada.
Similarly, B K Singh, vice-president (Orissa project) who has played many different roles in the company has been responsible in creating an appropriate environment in the Orissa project which has enabled the steel major to start construction work of its 6 mtpa greenfield project in Kalinganagar.
