Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd has bagged the role of advisor in a public-private-partnership infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh. Total investment in the first phase of the project is estimated to be around Rs 14,000 crore.
The non-banking finance company would manage the bidding process and selection of appropriate developers in six cities including Agra, Allahabad and Varanasi.
According to sources, total estimated cost of the Srei package is Rs 8,850 crore.
The UP government has prepared a strategy to develop all the major and critical infrastructure sectors and has identified power, urban rejuvenation, road infrastructure, health care and education as the major thrust areas.
The integrated urban rejuvenation plan is aimed at improving the quality of life in major cities of the state.
