Close on the heels of announcing it will divest up to 26% in the company, Reliance Communications, which has a debt of Rs 33,000 crore, on Monday said it will restructure its ownership in its telecom tower arm Reliance Infratel to bring in investors and improve financial flexibility. The boards of RComm and Reliance Infratel have approved a proposal to restructure the former?s ownership through a demerger, thereby creating ?the world?s largest independent telecom infrastructure company, not owned and/or controlled by any telecom operator.?
