The transportation infrastructure business unit of Larsen and Toubro Construction said on Wednesday it has won an order worth AED 943.11 million (about R1,400 crore) for the development of Midfield Terminal Complex ? an airside construction project for Abu Dhabi Airports Company PJSC, UAE.
The project is part of the expansion programme of Abu Dhabi International Airport. It consists of a Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) and related airside and landside work.
?The project will commence in April 2013 with a construction period of 28 months. The airport terminal complex is expected to be commissioned by 2017,? the company said in a statement.
Meanwhile, JP Morgan upgraded L&T to ?overweight? from ?neutral? as the engineering to technology major announced fresh orders of R9,400 crore this week. This has taken the tally of disclosed orders by L&T for the March quarter to R15,400 crore.
