Apollo Hospitals has tied up with IT giant Cisco to offer telemedicine services in the country. Telemedicine is a process through which patients can consult doctors located at distant destinations through electronic medium. The project would be implemented in three phases.

?The alliance with Cisco will revolutionise the delivery of healthcare in India,” said Sangita Reddy, executive director, Apollo Hospitals.

?Collaborative technologies, powered by ubiquitous broadband access, will enable access to affordable and high-quality health care services,? said Wim Elfrink, chief globalisation officer, Cisco Services.
