Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has finalised the award of development works to private developers on turn-key basis. The projects include the new industrial estate at Panipat, expansion areas of industrial estate in Bahadurgarh and Sonipat. A decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of the board of directors of the corporation held here under the chairmanship of Chhatar Singh, principal secretary to CM, Rajeev Arora, MD of the corporation said.

?The cost estimate for the development work for phase-III of Barhi industrial estate over an area of about 647 acres was also approved by the board,? he said

The works have been awarded for all the projects at a total value of Rs 32,984 crore, including Rs16,622 crore for Panipat project, Rs 8,522 crore for Bahadurgarh and Rs 7,840 crore for Rai.

The work would involve creation of services like roads, water supply, sewage system, water drainage system, horticulture works, electricity distribution network etc. The development works were awarded to L&T and the work is to be completed within 18 months.

Bahadurgarh project consists of three sectors?16, 17 and 4B, situated on NH-10 Delhi-Rohtak road. On the request of the Footwear Manufacturers Association, HSIIDC acquired 555 acres of land in Bahadurgarh for setting up of an industrial estate and a dedicated Footwear Park. While sector-16 had been developed as a general-purpose industrial area, sector-17 had been developed as a Footwear Park. Sector 4B in industrial estate spreads over an area of 189 acres. Ramky Infrastructure will undertake the development works for the project and the work is to be completed within 15 months? time.

Industrial estate Rai, situated about 30 kilometers from the Delhi border, has been developed over an area of about 580 acres. The estate has two major parks?the technology park and food park besides the general industry. Industrial estate Rai, Ph-II spread over an area of 345 acres . The development work is awarded to Larsen and Tuobro and the work is to be completed within 15 months.
