The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) proposes to invest Rs 1,305 crore to strengthen power transmission and distribution system during the next fiscal.

Managing director of DHBVN Anurag Agarwal said emphasis has been laid to create high voltage distribution system (HVDS) on rural domestic, urban and rural agriculture feeders by earmarking Rs 398 crore.

Under this system of international standard, more distribution transformers are used and each consumer is connected with transformer through independent service cables.
