Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has allotted 1,600 sq metre of land to GAIL (India) Ltd in order to set up its city gas station at IMT Manesar, and 9 acre of land to GAIL Gas Ltd for setting up its CNG station along NH-1 at HSIIDC Industrial Estate at Rai. The CNG station is proposed to supply gas to households and the transport sector in Sonipat district.

Rajeev Arora, managing director, HSIIDC, said Rs 3.65 crore will be invested in setting up the project on the periphery of IMT Manesar and Rs 31 crore will be pumped into the Industrial Estate at Rai. Arora further added that with the implementation of the two projects at IMT Manesar & Rai, the entrepreneurs shall have an alternate energy option to ensure clean and uninterrupted power supply. The decision was taken by the higher-level plot allotment committee formed by the state government, under the chairmanship of YS Malik, financial commissioner & principal secretary Industries, Haryana. The committee considers the allotment of industrial plots to prestigious projects.

HSIIDC has been made the nodal agency by the state government for providing industrial infrastructure in Haryana.
