Not many of us would hate their bosses as much as chemists and dental hygienists do.

They are the professions with the largest number of bad bosses, according to US jobs and salary website PayScale, News.com.au reported.

PayScale asked its users what they most wanted to change about their job, and ranked the number of workers in each profession who wanted a new boss, Business Insider revealed.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Chemists and Materials Scientists – 19.4 per cent

Dental Hygienists – 18.2 per cent

Bakers – 17.9 per cent

Food Service Managers – 17.0 per cent

Occupational Health and Safety Specialists and Technicians – 15.8 per cent

Database Administrators- 13.6 per cent

Administrative Services Managers – 13.6 per cent

Dispatchers – 13.5 per cent

Shipping, Receiving, and Traffic Clerks- 13.5 per cent

Actors, Producers, and Directors – 13. per cent

Cooks – 12.3 per cent

Bus and Truck Mechanics and Diesel Engine Specialists – 12.1 per cent

Cashiers – 11.8 per cent

Order Clerks – 11.6 per cent

Industrial Truck and Tractor Operators – 11.5 per cent

Lodging Managers – 11.5 per cent

Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Mechanics and Installers – 11.3 per cent

Labourers and Material Movers, Hand – 11.1 per cent

Education Administrators – 10.9 per cent

Tellers – 10.7 per cent
