Amfi, in a recent circular mentioned that, if an investor wants to switch from one distributor to other, no trailing commission will be paid to any one. Trailing commissions are paid by mutual funds to its distributors till the time investor stays with the fund. Amfi mentioned that instead the trial commission amount will go into funding investor awareness campaigns. Amfi found that there has been tremendous increase in the number of requests for change of distributor.
