Alstom Projects India Ltd on Monday said it has bagged Rs 124-crore contract to supply electromechanical equipment to the 96 mw Jorethang loop hydroelectric project in Sikkim. The project is being developed by Dans Energy Private Ltd. The plant?s electricity output will be connected to the country?s power grid.
The order entails end-to-end manufacturing of equipment at Alstom Hydro?s Vadodara facility in Gujurat, one of the company?s largest hydro equipment manufacturing hubs. The contract includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electro- mechanical equipment for the project?s two 48 mw units.
