Konstantin Galish, a 32-year-old Ukrainian crypto investor and popular blogger known online as Kostya Kudo, was found dead on Saturday inside his Lamborghini in the Obolon district of Kyiv, Ukraine. His death comes amid a major crash in cryptocurrency prices, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, that shook global markets on Friday, according to multiple local media reports.

Galish’s Telegram channel confirmed his death and said that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause. According to Binance Square, a social platform for cryptocurrency enthusiasts, Galish reportedly died by suicide.

Social media quickly filled with tributes as crypto followers mourned the loss of the blogger. Reports also claim that Galish had lost at least $30 million of investors’ money who had trusted him to manage their funds.

Who was Konstantin Galish?

Konstantin Galish was not only a crypto investor but also the co-founder and CEO of the Cryptology Key trading academy. The academy’s YouTube channel has over 97,000 subscribers, and its Instagram page is followed by more than 100,000 people.

He was known for his luxurious lifestyle, reportedly owning multiple high-end cars, including a 2020 Lamborghini Urus, a 2023 Ferrari 296 GTB and a 2012 Mercedes-Benz 220 CDI.

Crypto market crash linked to tariff hike

Experts say the crash in cryptocurrency prices on Friday was largely due to US President Donald Trump’s announcement of raising tariffs by 100% on “critical software” imports from China.

Major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Binance Coin saw sharp declines. Analysts explained that Chinese investors are among the biggest in the crypto market, and the sudden tariff increase weakened market sentiment. They also noted that it will take some time for virtual asset markets to adjust to the new trade rules.
