Who was Himanshi Khurana?
As per media reports, Khurana was a Toronto-based digital creator. The authorities and officials have released limited personal details, keeping the focus on the probe and support for the family.
Toronto Police mentioned that the officer was alerted late Friday night after receiving a missing person call in the Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street area. “On Friday, December 19, 2025, approximately 10:41 pm, police responded to a call for a Missing Person,” police said as quoted by ANI. The search continued overnight, and by early Saturday morning, officers made what they described as a grim finding.

“On Saturday, December 20, 2025, around 6:30 am, officers found the missing female deceased inside a residence,” police said as quoted by IANS. The death is being treated as a homicide.
Investigators have said that the victim and the suspect were familiar to each other, and the case appears to involve “intimate partner violence,” according to police comments cited by CBC News. Toronto Police were quoted by CP24 as saying that “They were in an intimate partner relationship,” while confirming this is the city’s 40th homicide of 2025.
