Protests are ongoing in Nepal after the youth took to streets against the current political dispensation headed by KP Sharma Oli. Prime Minister Oli resigned earlier today from his post just hours after protesters stormed his office, shouting anti-government slogans.
His resignation comes after days of violent confrontations between protesters and police, resulting in at least 19 deaths. Hundreds were injured in the protests that turned violent. Oli had earlier proposed an all-party meeting to find a solution but with protests spiraling out of control, he chose to step down.
