Stefanie Cohen Magarici, who goes by the name Dr Stefi Cohen on Instagram, was arrested Wednesday on a domestic violence battery charge. The popular influencer, who calls herself a doctor of physical therapy, is a boxer-turned-powerlifter. She infamously made headlines last year after being taken into custody for allegedly hacking into her former boyfriend’s personal device and leaking his new lover’s nude photos.
TMZ Sports was the first to report the latest development over a year after the Miami fitness influencer first faced multiple charges of sexual cyber-harassment and resisted an arrest. Her arrest affidavit at the time stated that Stefi Cohen leaked another woman’s compromising pictures on November 15, 2023. Her ex-boyfriend and a lady, presumably the nude leak’s victim, visited the Miami-Dade Police Department headquarters to report the matter.
Back then, Cohen was accused of sharing the sexually explicit photos across group chats with the intention of “exposing and humiliating” the other woman. Cut to April 16, 2024, the woman and Stefi’s ex-partner approached the police again, revealing that the powerlifter found out about their relationship on March 22, 2022. She is said to have exposed the alleged woman victim’s personal pictures upon this discovery “with the intent to cause emotional distress,” as per the official document.

Since ending her previous relationship, the 32-year-old Miami powerlifter has gotten romantically entangled with her new flame, Tristan Hamm, a fellow boxer and influencer. As per their social media posts, the two have been dating over the last 18 months.
Cohen was also romantically linked to influencer Hayden Bowe at one point. It remains unclear if he is the same man linked to the sex-cyber-harassment case.
The Venezuela native holds the all-time world records for the squat, total and deadlift for the 123-pound weight class, as per Men’s Health. Additionally, she has participated in six pro boxing clashes as of now. Of these fights, she has won four and lost one, with another resulting in a draw.
According to her Instagram page, with over a million followers, she is a “25x World Record Powerlifter.” At the time of writing, Cohen’s Instagram was set to private. Her YouTube channel further credits her for being “the first woman in the history of the sport to deadlift over 4.5 times my bodyweight.”
Stefi Cohen resisted her 2024 cyber-harassment scandal arrest
The Miami-Dade Police approached to arrest Stefi at the time as she was walking along Loquat Avenue in the Coconut Grover neighbourhood. Not complying with the authorities at the scene, she attempted to walk away from the officer.
As per the arrest report, cited by CBS News, Cohen told the arresting officer that she was going back home and would be calling her then-boyfriend as she wanted to pick up her dog. Further disobeying commands, she physically resisted her arrest. She ultimately even resorted to rough means after being handcuffed. The influencer reportedly “tensed up her arms” and “right hooked” an officer, while allegedly attempting to “sweep him off his feet.”
When put in the back of a squad car, the police said, she “placed her right leg on the latch to unlock the door and grabbed it with her toes” and “pulled the latch with her toes and intentionally broke the locking system causing the door not to lock at all.”
Upon being released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in 2024 on a $3,300 bond, Cohen defended her case on social media by slamming the accusations against her.
“Anyone can be falsely accused of a crime and arrested. These are only allegations from a vengeful x-boyfriend. Simply allegations and we will fight it all the way. Stay tuned!” she wrote in the comments sections of a post by OnlyinDade.
