Walmart is bringing back its annual holiday sales with major discounts, aiming to attract budget-conscious shoppers and strengthen its position during the critical shopping season.

The retailer’s three Walmart Deals Events will give loyalty members priority access to the best deals.

CEO John Furner stated that some products will be discounted by up to 60%, with “thousands of deals under $20.” This move is designed to appeal to shoppers feeling the pinch amid rising prices.

Important dates

The first event runs Nov. 14–16, with Walmart+ members getting five hours of early online access starting the evening of Nov. 13. The second event is scheduled for Nov. 25–30, with early access for Walmart+ members beginning Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. ET, and the final event kicks off on Cyber Monday.

On Tuesday, Bank of America Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan noted that while American consumers remain a major economic driver, the middle class is starting to feel pressure.

The August retail sales report showed spending rose for the third consecutive month, but gains were mainly driven by higher-income shoppers. September retail sales data have not yet been released due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

According to Moody’s Analytics, the top 10% of earners, making at least $250,000, now account for nearly half of spending in the second quarter.

Joe Feldman, managing director and senior research analyst at Telsey Advisory Group, told FOX Business, “People have been shopping more frequently and spending less to stretch their dollars. Consumers are focused on value, including private brands, and they remain selective with discretionary purchases.”

How to shop smart?

Walmart has not released exact item deals yet, but shoppers can expect discounts in the following categories:

Tech and electronics: Brands like Samsung, TCL, and Dyson at big savings.
Toys and collectibles: LEGO and Barbie are likely to see major price cuts.
Home and decor: Discounts on cookware, bedding, kitchen appliances, and more.
